Hamilton, OH (December 21, 2017) – Lisa Frye, NCG, of Mason was named one of six finalists in the Community Outreach category for the 2018 Cincinnati Business Courier Health Care Heroes Award. The Courier recognizes those who have made an impact on health care in our community through their concern for patients, their research and inventions, their management skills, their innovative programs for employees and their service to the poor and uninsured. Frye has been with LifeSpan’s Guardianship program since July 2011.
“Lisa has been a real asset to our Guardianships program which she joined in 2011 and was promoted to lead in 2012. She assures her clients are respected and that all supporting external agencies do the same honoring their wishes and supporting their decisions as much as possible to retain their dignity and independence. She has become the expert in guardianship issues throughout the state with presentations and available for resource questions while staying abreast of current legal and regulatory standards,” said Joyce Kachelries, LifeSpan Chief Operating Officer.
As program Manager for LifeSpan’s Guardianship, Frye is truly committed to her work, and more importantly, the well-being, stability, and companionship of her clients. Frye was recognized by the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities in spring 2016 during their Community Recognition dinner. She played a critical role in the Scripps Gerontology Center’s 2017 report; “Ohio Guardianship, Guardians, and the Courts: Findings from a Survey of Adult Guardianship in Ohio”.

She is also a member of the National Guardianship Association keeping abreast of issues effecting Guardianship on the national level. In 2016, she was awarded Excellence in Leadership by the NAMI Butler County.
“I am thankful for this opportunity to be nominated as a finalist. Providing the most basic care of decision making has and will always be the most natural opportunity in service to others that I truly enjoy”, said Frye.
LifeSpan is looking forward to the 2018 Cincinnati Business Courier Health Care Hero Awards Celebration scheduled for Thursday, February 15th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and congratulates Lisa Frye, NCG, on this very well-deserved recognition.
